About DisplayPort: DisplayPort is similar in concept and construction to HDMI, but while HDMI is targeted primarily towards home theater electronics, DisplayPort is more commonly found in computer-centric electronics. DisplayPort is capable of carrying several times the data of a DVI or VGA cable in a smaller form factor, and also carries high-fidelity digital audio.
