With cutouts for one VGA port and three RCA ports, this simple wall plate
is the perfect conclusion to an in-wall or ceiling wiring run. It's perfect
for mounted projectors, A/V labs, and presentation rooms like lecture halls
and conference rooms. And because the attachments are customizable, it can
serve a number of different purposes, just for you!
With a D-Sub cutout, this plate is designed to mount a VGA coupler or panelmount
cable to provide computer video display. While DVI and DisplayPort are the
popular digital options, nothing has the distance and strength of VGA. For in-wall
runs and anything over 15 feet, VGA is still the preferred method of computer video.
With three RCA cutouts, this plate can be used for either Composite Audio/Video or
Component Video. When fitted with Yellow, White, and Red jacks, the trio represents
one video channel and two audio channels for a complete stereo package. When fitted with
Green, Blue, and Red jacks, the trio represents three separated video signals for Y/Pb/Pr
(or Y/Cb/Cr) component video.
Just as DVI supplants VGA and HDMI supplants Component in many circles, those digital
signals just can't compete on distance and therefore Component is still the best
way to run long-distance video from a DVD player, Blu-Ray player, or other video source.
Please note that the plates do not include any connectors
or cables. We offer cables separately in various lengths according to your needs, so
you will be given the opportunity to select your mounting options after adding this
plate to your order.
