This is an internal SCSI ribbon cable for LVD SCSI, more eloquently known as "Low Voltage Differential". This cable also works for SE (standard "single-end") SCSI, and operates at the highest speed of the slowest device on the bus.

These classic SCSI assemblies are available in a variety of lengths, depending on the number of connectors you require.

We can also custom-build this cable to your dimensions, with the restriction that the cable is specially twisted and connectors can only be mounted where the cable is flat (about every six inches).

All of our internal LVD cable products use ultra-high grade Hitachi cable, which is a 0.025" stranded, dual-laminated, TPO micro quick-twist wire. They feature 30 AWG stranded tinned copper, with each conductor individually extruded with TPO. A thin, clear laminate coating is applied to both sides to prevent floating and maintain maximum impedance consistency throughout the entire length of the cable.

This cable is compatible with:

  • SCSI Fast-XX
  • SPI-2
  • SPI-3
  • Ultra-160 LVD
  • Ultra-320 LVD
  • SPI-4 Ultra-320 LVD
  • SE (single-end) wide and ultra-wide applications.

The connectors are laid out as follows: 16 inches between the controller connector and the first device connector; 5.25 inches between each device connector; and two inches between the last device connector and the terminator connector.

The last connector is available to attach a terminator, however a terminator is NOT included as part of the cable.
