The 1592 is a USB Type-A Male to Type-A Male cable, wired straight-through, including power. It is intended to be used as a 'jumper' between couplers or female-female cables, and carries USB Data+/-, +5v, and Ground, all wired 1:1.

This configuration of cable is rare, as it permits direct physical connection between USB host devices in a way that can result in damage or shorting. It should never be used to connect two computers, or any pair of devices that are not explicitly designed to be connected with a USB A-B cable. For added reach, pair it with a USB extension cable. If your setup requires more than 15 feet between the source and device, use an active USB booster cable or active USB booster.
