The 1598 series cable is a USB A male to
USB A female cable,
used as an extension cable in
which the female panel end can
be mounted on a face plate, a wall
plate, or a bulkhead surface. This
creates a panel-mounted USB jack wherever
you need it with minimal installation work.
These cables are an ideal method to
remotely mount USB ports for easy
removal of portable devices. The moulded
panel-mount USB connector with embedded nuts ensures a
sturdy and reliable attachment to your bulkhead
or wall panel.
These cables have a black PVC
jacket, and are shielded by both
a foil wrap and a braid wrap.
This is the highest grade of
shielding available for this type
of cable.
Please note that if you would like to extend your USB connection more than 15 feet from source to device, you'll need to use an active USB booster cable or active USB booster.
For information about selecting, installing, and
using wall plates in your applications, see our
Guide to Face Plates.
