The successor to our popular USB 2.0 panelmount cables, the 1698-series
features the same low-profile bulkhead mounting connector but is tested and certified for full USB 3.0 speeds.
This cable assembly features a panel-mounting USB 3.0 A type female jack on one end and a male USB 3.0 A
plug on the other. Each connector includes the standard 4-pins for backward-compatibility with USB 2.0,
in addition to the 5 high-speed pins for SuperSpeed USB 3.0.
DataPro's extensive line of (often-imitated) panelmount cables are designed for industrial and enthusiast
applications where cable terminations should be clean, modular, and easily accessible. Our panelmount
USB 3.0 cable is no exception, offering easy installation and termination directly into an OEM frontpanel
or any of our custom wall plates.
The panel-mounting USB connector is the identical form-factor to our previous line, so these cables can
be integrated into existing designs and installations without trouble.
Please note that if you would like to extend your USB connection more than 15 feet from source to device, you'll need to use an active USB booster cable.
